How the E6 Works

Hard water enters your water softener and passes down through the ion exchange resin, which is charged with sodium ions. The hard water ions, calcium, and magnesium are attracted to the ion exchange resin, and an equal amount of sodium ions are bumped off into the water supply

When the water reaches the bottom of the tank, it is softened and ready to be used in your home or business.

When the tank providing the soft water is saturated with hard water minerals, the control valve places the second tank into the soft water mode and recharges the first tank.

A salt solution flushes the calcium and magnesium off the resin is recharged with sodium. The brine solution from your brine tank is fuel to recharge the resin with sodium.

Advantages of using the E6

E6 Twin Tanks Water Softener

You will never run out of softened water again. The E6 provides efficient simplicity in a twin-tank format to be used in large volume households. The twin alternating system uses already softened water down to the last drop instead of maintaining a reserve like single tank systems, which saves on water and energy and keeps hard water from ever entering your home.
